BurghTV: Showing off Pittsburgh’s hidden gems

This past Sunday, Babb was thrilled to team up with BurghTV, a Pittsburgh based Snapchat that partners with local businesses, communities, charities, artists, etc. to create stories that show off unique and unusual events and places in Pittsburgh that aren’t regularly publicized. As most of you know, Snapchat is a tool to send and receive short videos and pictures that disappear after being opened.  Snap stories on the other hand last a full 24 hours after they are created and shared to the user’s followers.

Our story begins with a short tour around our historic building, the William Penn Snyder mansion, which was built in 1911.  The goal was to highlight the beautifully maintained architecture and interior details that Babb, Inc. prides itself on.  Michelle Flynn, BurghTV’s host, was able to exhibit the particular parts of the building that we love the most.

As we made our way downstairs, we were able to show off the modernity of our employee café and a very special area that was the focal point of a contest to guess what was behind the door.  The viewers were asked to send a snap with their guess of what was behind the door and the winner would receive a gift card to Dick’s Sporting Goods.  Since Babb employs many golfers, we have a room for practicing your drive and putting.

The last part of our story highlighted our best kept secret.  Babb converted what was once the stables into a Steelers fan, and really a Pittsburgh fan’s, paradise.  Blitzburgh is an area where we host Steeler tailgates for our clients before all home games.  We have a huge mural that includes past Steelers’ greats and memorabilia from all of the Pittsburgh sports teams.

We are so honored that BurghTV chose to feature us on their snap story to show off our building and our company.  Within the next few days everyone will be able to view the footage from the story on our Facebook page so be sure to look out for that.
